Volume 3, Chapter 3

Working on the new creature, Victor is struck by doubts about what he is doing. He sees the creature at the window, laughing, and in a fit of horror destroys the half-made body. The creature curses him and promises to be with him on his wedding night. Victor puts the remains into the sea and drifts to the coast of Ireland.
