Book 13: Back to Ithaca
Ulysses Leaves Scheria and Returns to Ithaca.
Odysseus finishes telling his story; the Phaeacians give him gifts and carry him home asleep to Ithaca. Poseidon, angry, turns the Phaeacian ship to stone as it returns to Scheria.
Odysseus wakes and does not know his own land. Athena meets him in the form of a young shepherd, tells him he is on Ithaca, and disguises him as an old beggar. She tells him of the suitors and sends him to the swineherd Eumaeus.
