Chapter 17: Narrative Continued by the Doctor: The Jolly-boat’s Last Trip

The loyal party sets out on the last trip from the ship in the little jolly-boat. It is so overloaded that it sinks near the shore, and part of the powder and food is lost. The men wade ashore and make for the log-house, while they can already hear the pirates coming through the woods.
