Book 24: Priam and Achilles

Achilles keeps mistreating the body of Hector, until the gods take pity on it. Guided by Hermes, King Priam comes by night to the hut of Achilles and begs for his son's body. Achilles, moved, gives it up, and the two men share a meal. Troy then mourns Hector and gives him a funeral.
